tumblr hiatus, personal reasons, sorry.
If you’re an adult, I feel like this shouldn’t be difficult to understand: when you strike me, I am not required to accept your apology.
Are you really sorry? Maybe now, after the fact. But you’re apologizing to make yourself feel better, not me. It might mean more, but when I think you’d do it again, for equally petty reasons —
(maybe you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. maybe they’re out of your favourite flavour of tea. maybe your shoes feel like they fit wrong. maybe there’s a snag in your sweater. maybe the toothpaste fell off before it could make it into your mouth)
— what kind of apology is that? why did you think I would want it?

WHY YES I DO (your asks are closed, though, and so I’m assuming I missed being part of the first five, haha)
I hope you like it!!! : D
This is basically the cutest thing ever. I will never understand how people do sd / chibi — nor do I think I will ever grasp the art of folds in clothes. This is like the magical and beautiful combination of things I don’t know how to do, and it is MY BABY, I am so happy. The cute red cheeks and fingers and subtle hair highlights — derekstile is magical and amazing and everyone should know this, because LOOK, look at this perfect rendition of my bb, okay?
Excuse me while I clutch my computer monitor and make strange squeaking noises.

WHAT IN UTTER HELL
No. That suit does not fit him. (And — like, are those pant legs uneven?) Those shoes look weird with it, and his random asymmetrical ankle glimpse is not the stuff poetry is written for.
This isn’t even like, student-portfolio level. This is tragic.
I realize I’ve been spoiled by the Teen Wolf wardrobe team, who tailor things to the cast, but — these are presumably professionals taking these photographs. They couldn’t shell out to do the same?
(And I say this as someone who liked Tyler Hoechlin’s MTV awards blue zippery jacket. Though that may actually discredit me, I don’t know. I’m just trying to say, I don’t just automatically hate things on sight. Unless they are awful.)
I got an ice cream cone dipped in “cotton candy” shell from Wienerschnitzel. I can’t help it, it looked like brains. So — this.
so it turns out i’m going to be in the LA area when BiteCon is happening.
i’m unreasonably happy that tyler hoechlin and dylan o’brien will not be there, because otherwise i’d be tempted to try and go, and that way lies madness. (you can’t ditch important family get-togethers to run to a convention, especially if you don’t have transportation or money. you just. don’t.)
so many actors that i think are cool *will* be there, but none that i want to sketch embarrassingly badly (okay, maybe sinqua walls. okay, maybe actually most of them. dammit.) but again, being financially incapable is freeing in some ways. i don’t have to agonize over spending money or not if i don’t have it in the first place.
besides, if i ever met any of the teen wolf cast, i’d be so painfully awkward that it wouldn’t be worth it. it’d be weird. i can see it now: “hi, i have several MB of JPGs of your face, and never thought i’d get to see it in person!” just, no.
I am a complete weirdo, and have made a tutorial/overview PDF for people who want to brush up on the different Photoshop image modes. Working in LAB mode is completely awesome, because it blends completely differently (and, imho, more intuitively) than the others.
I might be totally wrong about everything, but if you ever want to see my understanding of the various Photoshp image modes (RGB, CMYK, & LAB) feel free to download the PDF at your leisure.
I actually like the jacket that Tyler Hoechlin is wearing to the MTV Awards. I like its zippers. I like its colour. I have seen people saying it matches his shoes, though I don’t think I’ve seen a full-body shot, so I can’t comment on that.
Seriously though. I like it.
I’d probably wear it.
(I like shortalls, too. (Like, overalls but actually shorts?) And skorts. I am not a huge fan of capris, but other people can wear them and not cause offense to my eyeballs, or anything.)
I LIKE HIS JACKET, THOUGH.
Oh, no! How did you fracture your elbow to begin with?
Short version: a motorcycle
Slightly longer version: I was about to learn how to ride a motorcycle (first day of riding class) when I fell over while walking the bike. I didn’t think it was a huge deal, except my hand wouldn’t work properly to use the clutch, at which point I realized something was rather more wrong than I’d realized. As it turns out, I fractured my radial head, and was unable to complete the class. My little brother (who’d been taking it with me) did complete it, and passed the riding test at the end, so is now able to ride a motorcycle if he wants.
I actually don’t have a cast, because nothing was displaced, just fractured, which meant no surgery, either (yay!) but it means I can’t use the arm as much as I’m used to — for carrying/holding things, but also for things I didn’t think about much until I couldn’t do them (like, pushing myself up from a sitting position? opening jars?) which is interesting. My arm also doesn’t currently unbend all the way, which still unsettles me.
My dash appears to be sticking to a theme, for the most part. It so rarely does that.
